Krysti and I having a moment. Everything that's technically imperfect about this picture is also what makes it. Not my best, but I love it.

Krysti is my ex-girlfriend and one of my best friends. We met at a rally last November against California's proposition 8 which banned same-sex marriage there. She invited me to her apartment afterwards and she kissed me that following night. I've literally lived in this apartment ever since. The following seven months have been incredibly up-and-down as we struggled with our mutual attractions and getting to know each other. Right now we are closer than ever.
